Summer's End

Thursday, September 10th

Daddy and I started back to work on September 1st which meant back to school for you.  You were so excited to go back to school that drop-offs were effortless and reassuring.  Daddy and I had briefly entertained the thought of switching daycares since daddy's school schedule changed.   Instead of starting at 7:30, he now starts at 8:15.  Mommy thought she was going to have the early morning duty again this year, but that wasn't the case.  This would have meant less time at daycare for you...but I'm so very glad we didn't make the switch!

I am sad to see summer is over.  We had a very relaxing and productive summer. Summer is by far my favorite season...I believe Fall is Daddy's favorite due to it being football season and the weather is cooler.  We didn't go to Grandmom and Grandpops boat house much this summer, but that sacrifice was worth it since you are now sleeping in your own bed every night...all through the night.  You are also becoming really good with toilet training. In fact, when you are home now, the only time you wear a diaper is when you go to bed...and you hardly have any accidents.  It's great because you seemed to have done this on your own...it doesn't feel like we forced you to use the potty.  You were completely ready to do this.

Next up, focusing on going to bed while awake and then loosing the paci's when you become tired or just need soothing.  I think we could wait a couple more months. Lately, you have not had your paci throughout the day.

You are talking so well and developing such a well-rounded and cute personality.  You keep getting cuter each and every day.  We love you more than you could ever imagine.
